Folder Share


  • CloudBuddy Personal is enabled to offer ‘Folder Share’ functionality to users. The folders in S3 shall be shared using CloudBuddy Personal in following ways:
    1. 1. Public Access
    2. 2. Private Access

  • The plug-in to utilize the ‘Folder Share’ functionality is provided below:
  • After successful installation of ‘Folder Share’ plug-in, user will be able to access the same using context menu appearing in both the panes of CloudBuddy Personal Explorer.

  • On selecting ‘Share’ from context menu, user will be provided with the following screen.
  •   
  • On selecting ‘Next’ button, user will be provided with following options:
  •   
    • S.NoFilter CriteriaDescription
    1 Include Helps user to include the files matching filter criteria
    2 Exclude Helps user to exclude the files matching filter criteria
    3 Starts with Helps user to include / exclude the files whose name starts with criteria provided
    4 Ends with Helps user to include / exclude the files whose name ends with the criteria provided
    5 Contains Helps user to include / exclude the files whose name contains the criteria provided
    6 File Extension Helps user to include / exclude the files whose extension matches the criteria provided

  • It also enables the user to provide multiple filter criteria with a comma separator.
  • On selecting ‘Next’ in filter criteria, facilitates the users to share it as ‘URL’ or ‘Template’
  •   
  • The URL share mode helps in generating URL’s for each and every file in the folder
  •   
  • The Template share mode provides a user friendly interface to user(s) utilizing the share link.
  •   
  • The template share mode helps the user to share in 2 ways namely:
    1. (a) Photo_album - helps in displaying the shared photographs (of any format like JPEG, GIF, BMP etc.) in the browser
    2. (b) XML Template - helps in sharing files with metadata associated with it.
