CloudFront Media Streaming
- The latest version of CloudBuddy Personal supports streaming of media files stored in Amazon S3, following the announcement of Amazon. It facilitates user to enable streaming for a bucket and to create streaming URL. The application is also embedded with a Test Bed to test successful streaming of media.
- 1. Access the 'CloudFront Console' which is provided as a plug-in and present in the right extreme of tool bar.

- 2. Enable media streaming distribution for the bucket by clicking on 'Click here'

- 3. To achieve successful public media streaming, the users should select 'Enable Streaming' for the selected streaming distribution and the status must be 'Deployed'
- Note: Provides public URL only.

- 4. The Cross–Domain policy screen allows you to create a cross-domain policy file and upload the same in the root of Streaming Bucket which will enable a web client to handle data across multiple domains.

- 5. To achieve successful private media streaming, the users should select 'Enable Private Streaming' for the selected streaming distribution and the status must be 'Deployed'
- Note: Provides both public/private URL.

- 1. Select the 'Distribution URLs' from context menu by right clicking on the media file present in the bucket explorer.

- 2. Select the Public URL type option

- 3. Application will provide various protocol options for users to stream the media file.

- 4. User will select a protocol type and streaming distribution whose status is deployed.

- 5. User will get a list of URL's for the selected files based on the protocol type.
- Click on Test Streaming button to view your media file.

- 1. Select the 'Distribution URLs' from context menu by right clicking on the media file present in the bucket explorer.

- 2. Select the Private URL type option

- 3. Select the Signed URL type option and choose the protocol type and streaming distribution whose status is Deployed.
- The user should provide 'Key Pair ID' and 'Private Key' to successfully generate a signed URL.
- * User is allowed to opt for 2 policies namely:
- (a) Canned Policy – Helps the users to share only a selected object
- (b) Custom Policy – Helps the user to share more than one object which needs to be specified in the address range of the policy details
- * User will be able to add / view / modify policy details.

- 4. User can specify the start date from which the URL will be valid and also the IP range.

- 5. User will get a list of URL's for selected files based on the protocol type and streaming distribution.
- Click on Test Streaming button to view your media file.

- For both Private and Public media file URL, user will be allowed to test media streaming successfully in the Test Bed and copy the URL.
