Configuring CloudFront media streaming of your bucket using CloudBuddy Personal

The latest version of CloudBuddy Personal supports streaming of media files stored in Amazon S3, following the announcement of Amazon. It facilitates user to enable streaming for a bucket and creating streaming URL. The application is also embedded with a Test Bed to test successful streaming of media.

Enabling streaming for a bucket

1. Access the 'CloudFront Console' which is provided as a plug-in and present in the right extreme of tool bar.
2. Enable media streaming distribution for the bucket by clicking on 'Click here'
3. To achieve successful media streaming, the users should select 'Enable Streaming' for the selected streaming distribution and the status must be 'Deployed'
4. The Cross–Domain policy screen allows you to create a cross-domain policy file and upload the same in the root of Streaming Bucket which will enable a web client to handle data across multiple domains.

Distribute URL of media file

1. Select the 'Distribution URLs' from context menu by right clicking on the media file present in the bucket explorer.
2. Application will provide various protocol options for users to stream the media file.
3. User will select a protocol type and streaming distribution whose status is deployed.
4. User will get URL's for selected file based on protocol.
5. User will be allowed to test successful media streaming in the Test Bed and copy the URL.
6. Copy JW Player Code.
